Welcome to the Finance Department of the Chereponi District Assembly.
The Finance Department plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective financial management and sustainability of the Assembly. As one of the decentralized departments established under Ghana’s local governance framework, the Department is responsible for the prudent mobilization, allocation, utilization, and accountability of all financial resources entrusted to the Assembly. Our operations are guided by the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), and other relevant financial regulations.
The Department is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and value for money in the management of public funds. Through sound financial planning, revenue mobilization, expenditure control, financial reporting, and compliance monitoring, we support the Assembly’s development objectives and service delivery responsibilities. We also provide strategic financial advice to management and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and sustainable development.
Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to enhance Internally Generated Funds (IGF), maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and safeguard public resources. We continue to embrace modern financial management systems and innovative revenue collection strategies aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening the Assembly’s resource base.
As a Department, we assure our stakeholders of our unwavering commitment to integrity, professionalism, and excellence in public financial management. Together, we will continue to build a financially resilient Assembly capable of delivering quality services and improving the well-being of our people.
